Junior year at Ringling I attended a Fine Arts Book Making class. This was our first assignment, to create an altered book. I chose this book- The Blue Rose a murder mystery that takes place in an English Garden. We were to create a new work of art using every part of the book....

This group is from my remake of my favorite story book as a child, The Little White Bed that Ran Away. I did a dummy book of about 25 illustrations, all sketches. But here are a couple spot illustrations and the cover image. There are many more images but I thought I'd just post a couple for now.

This is Ava, a character design I created for my junior year illustration class. She's a character I created for a childrens book series. Ava is a lonely orphan that lives in a New England Orphanage, and doesn't get along with the other children. She is constantly teased by the others for her large head and her only friends are the mice that also inhabit the Orphanage. What the other children don't know is that at night time, Ava and her mice friends sneak around and play tricks on them.....

Garment Art

So along with working my 2 jobs and starting my quilt (which is pretty much on the back burner) I've been working on some Garment art for my friend Jen's store: The Gauzeway in Melbourne, Fl. These are the ones I'm finished with so far, let me know what you think!

Hey everyone!
I just wanted you to know I haven't died or anything! I've been busy working two jobs, niether of which are art related, but I'm hoping something will come up soon. Otherwise I'm starting on a quilt in my spare time and will definately be posting pics on here when it's finished! I hope you're all well and feel free to leave me feedback on what I have posted on here now :)
